Finding Like-minded Trailblazers Like You
In a recent coaching session, a client shared that she keeps trying to convince her friends that they need to focus on their personal growth. She has been trying to motivate them to leave their bad relationships, pursue their career aspirations, and not settle for a life which is focused on others.
They are not interested. They do not feel like they are settling. In fact, they are struggling to understand why she is choosing not to get married, not to have children, and not to get a comfortable 9-5.
They want very different things. And that is okay. However she continues to try to convince them to change because she does not want to be alone in her personal growth journey.
And she does not have to be. She just won’t be able to go on that journey with them.
If you are in pursuit of growth, change, and a non-traditional path, find likeminded people to support you so that you don’t feel so alone. Spend you energy finding the people who align with your passion, instead of trying to convince your old tribe to grow with you.
