Meet Julia Sokol , the Founder of SassClass.

What are you most proud of about your journey and/or where you are now? 

“I am most proud of the fact that I always kept going, no matter what - despite the doubts (both self-doubt and doubt from others), being misunderstood by friends & family, the fear of failure, and the scariness of the unknown. There were so many times that I thought to myself, it would be so easy to just give up right now, drop everything, and go back to the "safe path" of a corporate career - but something inside me wouldn't let me give up. I'm definitely a fighter and I'm grateful for that and proud of myself. 

I think that people think that when someone is a trailblazer, an entrepreneur, paving their own path, that they must just not have the same fears as a "normal person". But that's so false. I am constantly faced with my fears - every single day. Owning a business means having tons of uncomfortable conversations, having to lay down the law even when you don't want to, having to take 100% responsibility for everything - the good, the bad,and the ugly,  having to make very difficult decisions, having people depend on your for their livelihood, and much, much more.  It's not that I don't feel fear or have fear; I am simply willing to do the scary things in the face of my fear. I feel fear, I just proceed anyway. I think that's honestly one of the biggest determining factors of whether someone will lead an extraordinary life, or have an ordinary life. Nothing is wrong with either scenario. It just depends on what you want out of life.”
